About me

Currently based on the NSW South Coast, I’m inspired by the beauty of our beaches, coves, amazing surf and pristine bush.

I have been exploring art since I could hold a pencil. I’ve always created my own cards, even from a young age. Inspiration for me comes mainly from the ocean, nature and animals. In my early years, I developed a love of line drawings using Artline textas. I had a vivid imagination and was encouraged by my family, especially my cousins, to continue my art. I now love watercolours. I love the whole process, the fluidity – maybe it’s the water connection to the ocean.

I love everything handmade – I make my own Chai Spice and am developing a new business, Chai by Lulu. I study Art & Textiles at school and am inspired by my excellent teachers.

I will always have a desire to create. I love the whole process, especially the satisfaction of seeing my ideas develop into a finished piece that people love!

My passion is to use my art to inspire others to protect our natural environment. Plus, continue to learn more about the negative impact of climate change and carbon emissions so we can urgently act to protect our Earth for future generations.

A stolen surfboard turned into a silver lining.

My Surf Greeting Cards idea emerged from an unfortunate event – my birthday surfboard of only 3 weeks was stolen at a local surf break. Faced with the prospect of not having a surfboard for a year until I could save enough money, I decided to put my skills to use. I decided to design and paint a collection of my local surf breaks. Surfers love giving and receiving anything surf-related. And there was just nothing like it around locally.

From that experience I learnt a great life lesson. Even though life can throw up disappointments, silver linings can be just around the corner. My local community has been incredibly supportive, positive and encouraging – I’ve met people who bought my cards that I didn’t even know existed!
